Presentations

Follow this link to see a list of topics that are suggested for your presentations. Since ours is a service course and we do not have a prescribed array of presentation topics that we must cover, I thought, some of you may like it better if you have more freedom to choose what your presentation will be on.

Hence, at the very bottom of the document you will find an empty chart where you may (if desired) enter your name and the topic of the presentation that you are interested in. All topics will have to be brought to my attention before they get finalized.

What topics should you be thinking of:

Your presentation may not address a technical issue and should target an average educated listener. Your presentation must contain material that is related to the everyday issues and concerns of the business world (ethics and international business communication have been our preferred broad topics for a while).

NB:

If you feel comfortable presenting on one of the pre-selected topics, enter your name into one of the corresponding cells.

Concerning your presentation: Reminder:

You may prepare and present individually or with a partner.
Your presentation is 7-10 min long +3-5 min discussion/feedback.
You have to send the draft of your PPT to me via e-mail before you present. This should happen before the day on which you present.
You should incorporate the feedback I am giving.
Your presentation is expected to be engaging for your classmates. As it is very short, I expect you to be prepared to speak at least 60% of the time. If necessary, prepare note cards.

Please, document sources and demonstrate effort.
